Regional Vice President, Commercial Sales, APJ

We are seeking a Regional Vice President, Commercial Sales, APJ to lead and scale Cursor’s Commercial business across Asia Pacific. Based in our regional hub in Singapore, this is a second-line leadership role responsible for defining the regional commercial strategy, building a world-class leadership team, and creating the operating model that will enable Cursor’s next phase of growth across APJ.
You will own the strategy, execution, and performance of Cursor’s Commercial business across the region, leading frontline sales managers and their teams focused on fast-growing digital native, startup, and commercial customers. These customers represent the foundation of Cursor’s long-term enterprise growth, making this organization instrumental to expanding Cursor’s presence across one of our highest-growth markets.
As the senior Commercial Sales executive for APJ, you will partner closely with global GTM leadership to shape regional investment priorities, develop market strategy, build organizational capability, and establish the operational rigor required to scale efficiently across diverse markets. This is a highly entrepreneurial leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building organizations from the ground up while developing leaders, influencing executive strategy, and delivering predictable growth.
What You’ll Do
Lead Cursor’s Commercial Sales organization across APJ, owning regional strategy, execution, revenue performance, forecasting accuracy, pipeline generation, and organizational health.
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of frontline sales managers, creating a strong leadership bench capable of scaling Commercial Sales across the region.
Define and execute Cursor’s Commercial go-to-market strategy for APJ, including market prioritization, territory design, segmentation, account coverage, investment planning, and resource allocation.
Partner with global GTM leadership to shape regional growth strategy, hiring plans, organizational design, market expansion, and long-term investment decisions.
Establish a high-performance operating cadence across the region through disciplined forecasting, pipeline inspection, deal reviews, quarterly business reviews, productivity management, and leadership coaching.
Build scalable pipeline generation across inbound, outbound, product-led growth, partner, and expansion motions to drive predictable, repeatable growth.
Serve as the executive sponsor for strategic commercial opportunities, coaching leaders through complex technical sales cycles involving engineering, developer, and IT stakeholders.
Partner closely with Marketing, RevOps, Finance, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Product, and global Sales leadership to optimize customer acquisition, sales productivity, reporting, territory planning, and expansion motions.
Represent the APJ Commercial business with executive leadership, providing clear visibility into regional performance, market dynamics, customer insights, competitive trends, and investment opportunities.
Build scalable operating systems, talent practices, and leadership processes that enable Cursor to grow rapidly while maintaining an exceptionally high talent bar and execution standard.
What We’re Looking For
Significant SaaS sales leadership experience, including substantial success leading second-line sales organizations across APJ.
Proven experience building and scaling regional Commercial or Mid-Market sales organizations in high-growth technology companies.
Demonstrated success leading frontline managers across multiple APJ markets and developing high-performing leadership teams.
Experience defining regional go-to-market strategy, organizational design, market prioritization, and investment planning in partnership with executive leadership.
Strong operational discipline with experience building forecasting frameworks, pipeline inspection processes, sales operating rhythms, and performance management systems.
Track record scaling modern commercial sales motions, including PLG, usage-based, developer-led, digital native, or velocity sales organizations.
Exceptional leadership and coaching capabilities, with a history of hiring, developing, and retaining top sales leaders.
Experience selling to technical buyers, including engineering, developer, infrastructure, security, or application development organizations.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, RevOps, Customer Success, and the executive team.
Deep understanding of the APJ technology landscape and experience leading organizations across the region’s diverse markets.
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent Cursor externally with customers, partners, and the broader technology ecosystem.
