Job Overview
Mainspring Energy is seeking a high-performing Senior Channel Sales Manager to lead our rapid commercial expansion across the US market. We need a proven hunter and deal orchestrator. This will be someone who can aggressively recruit the right EPCs, developers, and channel partners, and then drive them to close high-value equipment transactions.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Channel Sales, you will own the full lifecycle of partner-driven revenue: from identifying key entities in the power and data center market to ensuring they are equipped and motivated to retire major quotas. With AI data center load growth pushing grid interconnection timelines out 2 to 7 years, power availability has become the binding constraint in energy transition.
Primary Responsibilities
- Pipeline & Quota: Own and exceed revenue targets through strategic channel partners
- Partner Recruitment: Identify, vet, and onboard Tier 1 partners (EPCs, Energy Developers, and Integrators)
- Deal Quarterbacking: Lead cross-functional internal teams (Product, Finance, Engineering) to support partners in closing high-contract-value transactions
- Sales Enablement: Move partners from "signed" to "productive" by delivering high-impact training on Mainspring’s value proposition in power quality, resiliency, and fuel flexibility
- Market Strategy: Execute go-to-market strategies tailored to the national utility environment, focusing on behind-the-meter applications and data center load growth
- Forecasting & Performance: Maintain a rigorous, data-driven approach to partner performance, using KPIs to manage pipeline health and provide accurate revenue forecasts to leadership
Qualifications & Experience
-
Sales Track Record: 8+ years of experience in energy, power generation, or critical electrical infrastructure sales with a proven history of hunting and retiring multi-million-dollar quotas ($10M+)
-
Target Equipment Experience: Demonstrated success selling big-ticket, complex energy hardware (Generators, Turbines, Switchgear, Transformers, UPS Systems, Fuel Cells, Microgrids, or BESS)
-
Partner & Channel Network: Strong existing relationships and a track record of driving sales through top US EPCs, electrical contractors, engineering consultancies, or distribution channels
-
Technical & Financial Acumen: Comfort with project finance concepts (IRR, NPV, PPA structures) and the ability to articulate complex technical value to engineering C-suite stakeholders
-
Drive & Mindset: Results-oriented hunter with a fierce sense of urgency, high energy, and a track record of closing deals in fast-paced environments
-
Education & Travel: Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Business, or Quantitative degrees preferred). Ability to travel 40–50% nationally for partner closing meetings, field enablement, and key deal negotiations
